Rilene De Sousa
Born in Fortaleza - Ceará Brazil
Rilene started Capoeira in 1985. She founded together with her sister Mestra Brisa of (MQFSM) the group “Amazonas Capoeira,” in 1993 (UK). It ran for 18 years. In 2010, they transitioned to Capoeira “Angola.” Fascinated with its physical, spiritual, and community aspects they decided to close the “Amazonas Capoeira" school and embark on a journey of finding Capoeira Angola and its ancestral teachings in Brazil.
Eventually, Rilene parted ways with her sister beginning a new journey of forming Grupo “Angoleiros de Kanaga” in south London Brixton with her partner, Professor Eon.
